About Me

My name is Mucio Vidales. I am from the small town of Holtville California… population… 5,487 and counting! I have not always lived in a small town; I was actually born in Los Angeles where I lived for about a year. I guess my education began in Mexico. My family moved to Mexicali Baja California, Mexico when I was still very young. My memories of this place are vague, but I do recall a colorful playground. It was not until the first grade that I came to the United States where I attended Finley Elementary School in Holtville (I just recently found out it is actually Emmett S. Finley Elementary School). From Finley Elementary I moved on to Holtville Middle School and finally graduated from Holtville High School in 2005.

As far as technology goes, I have only skimmed the surface of the technology world. I, like most people, enjoy using my computer for simple tasks like email, browsing, and social network purposes. Aside from my computer, I also enjoy video game consoles and may confess to being an avid gamer. I have yet to unearth technologies full potential and how it may be incorporated into the classroom. I am drawn to the aisles and displays of technological equipment and software at malls and local retailers, but not as much as I am drawn to the aisles with the pens, pencils, crayons, construction paper, etc. etc.

The College of Education Mission Statement states that we are committed to life-long learning. This is something that I strongly believe. We as future educators must be committed to a life of constant learning, this is the beauty of the teaching profession.  Study the world to teach the world.
